Safety is more than a topic. It's an attitude, a mode of operation and a culture. Safety is a concern always.

For instance, this last weekend my students wanted to go off piste right away, but I said no, not yet. Why? They asked.

I said, this is the beginning of the season, off trail is full of hidden objects that can end your season. Do you want to get hurt now and miss all of the big powder days ahead. No was the answer.

Nobody wants to be the fool who gets hurt on the first weekend. jocolor
